We're on to Climbing Already?!

Just as we're getting accustomed to Asher's newfound mobility in scooting around all over the place, he's already starting to hone some new talents to keep us on our toes. Like climbing. As in, climbing up the stairs. Granted, he hasn't quite mastered this yet, but it will be soon, oh yes. At Grandfather and Marmie's house on Saturday morning, Asher did manage to climb a couple of small steps in the guest room up to the adjacent reading room. These steps are about 3/4 the size of the steps in this picture, so it'll be no time at all that he'll be successful in his attempts to sneak his way upstairs on our staircase. YIKES! He's also starting to try to pull himself up on furniture and on us. Good grief...the kid is going to be walking before I know it, isn't he?

Well, you probably have at least a good 3 months before he starts walking. Really early walkers are between 9 and 10 months. Rowan was by far the earliest of his little friends and he was 10.5 months. But don't get complacent! Crawling babies can get into almost as much as walkers!

What a little stinker – crawling up the stairs already!

Mom says I started walking at nine months, so who knows, he could take after me... That's kind of scary to think about!

Watch out...there's no stopping him now. So far, I don't see any difference in the crawling and walking phases...you still have to chase them everywhere!

Go Asher! Go!

Uh oh, then he might be walking sooner rather than later! Jeff walked at 10 months...
